What a ride so far!

I decided I probably should check in at least once or I’d really fall out of habit of being on here and that would be counterproductive of what it is I hope to accomplish with this darn thing. So here’s a quick update:

I took off at 3 a.m. July 21 and arrived at my aunt’s about 1:30 p.m. or so. I needed to make one extra stop because I wasn’t as well rested as I hoped before the trip so I needed to stop along the way. My eyes were tired. Anyway, three hours in and I realized I left my travel bag at my apartment. This bag had my new camera, which was the priority camera to bring, my travel journal and some other products I would need. I can’t even begin to tell you how angry I was with myself for that blunder! Ugh!!

I was really looking forward to breaking that camera in a lot more on this trip and now it will have to wait. Can’t believe I did that. I also don’t have my card reader so I have no way to upload photos for this post or any others I may post while on vacation. I already had to spend money on replacement items and I don’t want to have to spend money on that too. So all the photos I am getting (because I did bring my other camera at least) will have to be posted later. Sorry all.

The rest of the trip is going fabulously though! Spending time with my dad’s side of the family is always a hoot and they totally proved me right… there is indeed always a chance of breaking out into song when with this family haha. It’s wonderful though. We did San Francisco yesterday and that was great. I’m loving the fresh air and it being “cool” in the 60s. I just love it. I’ll be heading down to Santa Cruz today and spending a day and a half with my grandpa and then after that it’s on to Venice Beach. Should be a blast!
