So having woken up not long ago and having one helluva weird dream, I thought to myself, even our dreams can be foolish. I know mine are almost always foolish and peculiar. I’m choosing not to discuss last night’s particular dream but maybe I’ll be happy to share one of my other odd ones in the near future – I always have them so it’s bound to happen again soon.
Some people have the good fortune of dreaming in ways that help bring them peace after losing a loved one. Some people dream up their artwork – they have such fantastical journeys in their sleep that they wake up and are able to share them with the world, these beautiful images of strange creatures and awesome adventures. Thankfully those people exist. I’m sure this is where we get fantasy movies and artwork that many tend to love so much.
Others have nightmares. I’ve been known to have one or two in my time. Of course, it depends on how you define nightmare. Having a pleasant dream of an ex can certainly feel like a nightmare. Usually our exes are exes for a reason.
Sometimes people dream of doing foolish things, such as sky diving (though I’d like to do that one myself) and more. I mean where else do some of these so-called crazy ideas come from? We do tend to use phrases like “where did you dream that up?” and similar sayings. It probably was dreamt and then those folks are able to make it a reality on occasion. That is usually a benefit for the rest of us.
Then there’s the celebrity dreams. Yep, I tend to have those fairly frequently also. To date, my personal favorite is the one I had where I had a one night stand with Ashton Kutcher. It was pretty awesome if I say so myself. Our subconscious is a pretty amazing thing really – though sometimes scary. So here I leave you with one of my favorite songs about dreams. Heart “These Dreams.” I love these ladies. So super amazing and congratulations to them for having made it to the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame recently. They’ve certainly earned it.
